Values-Based Indexes
Our Approach
Many financial institutions have created stock indexes aligned with particular "social" values, from those that focus on companies with high environment, social and governance (ESG) ratings to those that exclude companies active in the fossil fuel markets, to those whose portfolios include institutions with explicit faith-based values or mission.
We have assembled political indexes that are aligned for maximum impact on global corporations via consumer and institutional spending and investment, regardless of political affiliation. These indexes, crossing the political/ideological spectrum, serve as a baseline for the Global Prosumer Challenge (GPC): An on-line "call to arms" to accelerate the adoption of this next stage of consumer empowerment via the internet while also serving as infotainment for those of all backgrounds.
Through independent research, analysis, and crowd-sourcing, we have created an initial portfolio of indexes to demonstrate the power of combined spending and investing on political change. These new indexes are designed to have a localized character, reflecting community and political values, but also to align globally for maximum impact. The GPC "jumpstarts" prosumer (aka proactive consumer) empowerment at both the individual and institutional level by showing the magnitude of influence that can be exerted on global corporate entities. Our "Special Projects" market goes one step further and allows for the realization of unrealized prosumer spending and investing on specific political actions in real time. Indexes are created in an open and transparent fashion and bring together partnerships with cutting edge consumer spenditure apps as well as data analytics on values-based investing.
The political indexes can be thought of as "the players" in a fantasy-football-like virtual competition enabled by the ecosystem of apps and social/political data analytics currently in development by a host of new and exciting partners at the forefront of developing the Global Prosumer Alliance and other new internet-based activities.
